philosophy has recently expanded their purity made simple line of facial cleansers.
The original purity made simple has been a rock star in the skin care world for many years. For me, it lives up the hype and then some. I have used it off and on, but mainly on for over five years. There is just nothing better – it is gentle, leaves the face clean but not stripped and removes my waterproof mascara. I guess I can’t ask for much more than that.
The original purity is sort of a cream soap and it doesn’t foam. Evidently a lot of people didn;t feel like their face was getting clean without a foaming cleanser, so a few years ago philosophy introduced their foaming purity made simple. This was also met with rave reviews and now has legions of loyal users.
Recently philosophy jumped on the oil cleansing bandwagon with the introduction of their purity made simple cleansing oil. I wasn’t sure what to expect – oil is oil right? Wrong – unlike pure oil and many of the oil based cleansers, this oil is light, easy to use and non-greasy. Score another win for philosophy!
Two new products have recently been introduced in the purity line – a bar soap and disposable cleansing cloths. Both are getting rave reviews (are you surprised?). The bar soap is for the face and body and supposedly foams great and smells wonderful. The cleansing cloths would be really great for when you are on the go or in a hurry.
For the past several years, I have been working on the Best Facial Cleansers section of the site. In that time I stopped using purity everyday and have tried countless other cleansers. Most of them were okay, some of them were good, but in my book, none of them held a candle to the original purity. I have updated that section to indicate that is my personal preference for best facial cleanser. Right now I am perfectly satisfied with the original purity and the purity cleansing oil.

I remember when it was called "Real Purity" and for some reason they changed the name and they changed the formula ever so slightly!! I have used Philosophys line for the past 20yrs. It was the 1st skincare line that didn't irritate, dry, burn, strip you name it. For me it was absolute perfection for my skin. Now my entire family use Purity made simple and I still have my favorite chosen few that I will always use.
